Have you ever been on a Mystery Trip? If not, you’re wondering how does a Mystery Trip work. Well, here’s the deal! You bring whatever you think you might need (here’s where training for Survivor would come in handy), and what we tell you to bring. Meet at the church, get in the van, and spend the next one, two or three hours guessing where you’re going and what you’re going to do. Sound like fun?

WHO: Middle and High School

WHEN: July 21

WHERE: If we told you, it wouldn’t be a mystery!

COST: $25

DEADLINE: July 13

Project Pitcairn: July 6 – 10

Ministry: renovating a home, assisting in VBS and possibly renovating a playground in one of the borough’s parks.

Involvement: anyone in middle school and up can serve all week or just a portion of the week.

Contact: Marshel Lentz or Jon Price

General Info: A new community development organization called Pitcairn Community Ministries has started ministering in the Borough of Pitcairn. This ministry was started through the vision of Pitcairn Presbyterian Church, one of our sister congregations. It is their desire to see gospel transformation and restoration in lives of those living in the borough and the community itself.

***If you are looking for additional ways to serve the community or the church through service-oriented projects this summer, please contact Jon, Pat or Deacon John Iaconis.***

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:9-10

GLOBAL IMPACT 2009

Posted by jon on 2009.04.08 @ 04:37:45 pm

Global Impact is coming April 25th to Pittsburgh. This is a day designed just for teens, where you are encouraged and challenged to fulfill your part of the Great Commission. What is so cool about Global Impact is that it’s not just a day of speakers telling you what you should do, but you actually get to go and serve others, right here in Pittsburgh! Sign-up by April 19. We have a few spots at the $20 rate. Once they’re gone the cost is $30. The fee includes lunch and dinner, project supplies, plus great speakers and worship band! This is an event you don’t want to miss! Please sign-up by contacting Pastor Jon, or by submitting your registration form.
