Posted by jon on 2008.12.24 @ 01:54:17 pm

Friday – January 2

Don’t forget that on Friday, January 2 is the Senior High Lock-In! Invite your friends for an awesome all night party to ring in the new year!

The cost is $10 which includes food, activities, and great prizes! Please let me know if you are going to be there so we plan for the best night possible!

Doors open at 9 PM and we’re done at 8 AM on Saturday. If you can’t stay all night, come have fun, and leave around 1:00 AM.

If there’s snow, bring your gear, for night sledding! You haven’t been sledding until you’ve done it in the dark!

Engage Journal – Winter 08-09

Here is the latest issue of Engage Journal, a publication of The Center for Parent and Youth Understanding. I would encourage you to read it, as there are several good articles on the dangers of trusting our feelings, youth ethics, and the transition to college. Please add any comments, and use this as an opportunity to discuss these issues. Enjoy!

Welcoming the Prodigal Home

I just read this article by Abraham Piper, the son of Dr. John Piper. It is a wonderful reminder of how we as Christians, but espcecially parents, should respond to those we love who are not followers of Christ. It was a great reminder that it God who changes lives, and we are called to love others with the hope that they will respond to the love of Christ.
